Waterfront Sodus Gem w/ Dock, Game Loft, Bay View

Perfect stay for a long weekend with multiple families! There was a smaller house with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and 1.5 baths that was so close to the main house it worked out great. Lots of yard space between the house and dock, and we were able to dock our boat right out front. Loved that it was walkable to a park and some restaurants, and was just a short drive to a beach. Would definitely stay again!

We were not as happy with our stay this year as we were last year. We rented both houses on the property. The houses are really large and very clean. We had some issues. A young family member sliced his foot on a sharp edge because it was not secured by a rubber fitting. The owner asked that we put a mat over the sharp edge instead of having it repaired during our stay. The owner installed a camera outside, listened and watched everything we did. Our privacy felt very violated. We are a middle aged married couple that brought 2 of our sons and their families for a lake vacation. We were accused of having parties when we were all in for the night by 10:30pm. We were not loud at all. We were just enjoying a family vacation by the fire. Two porch windows fell out onto the grass and the glass on the windows broke. The young children could have been injured because the windows were not in securely. The grass needed to be sprayed to keep bugs and mosquitoes away. We were all bitten several times, even though we used repellent and citronella candles. We had fireworks for the kids. No where on any of the rules did it indicate that fireworks were prohibited besides they were lit in a parking lot not on the property. It was the 4th of July week. The host was very attentive but the owner was intrusive.

This is a very family friendly with plenty of space! The yard is welcoming to enjoy playing games, fire pit. The dock was perfect for our boats easy access in the heart of the marina would recommend for multi families. It is perfect. our host was quick to response with any questions we had.

We did not realize the bedrooms were all on the second floor. Also, only one bathroom serviced all four bedrooms, and guests had to walk thru one bedroom to get to the restroom. There’s no central AC - none at all on the first floor; loud “window” units on the second floor. From room to room, inside and out, was steps up/down to get from one to the other. The fifth and sixth bedrooms and third bathroom were in a separate “little house”. We made it work, but was not what we were expecting. When we had questions, the owner wound up answering those questions, rather than the manager/host. Disappointing.

The house is amazing, great location and plenty of room for us to gather. The small house has its own kitchen, bathrooms and two bedrooms. We were able to cook a big dinner for everyone in the kitchen.The neighbor was lovely. We were able to rent a boat and dock right at the house. Lovely place.
